We support professionals in sustainability training with tailor-made courses and programmes and a dedicated network

3Bee Technologies
Hive Tech
Hive-Tech is an IoT system that, when applied to a beehive, collects biometric information about the bee colony and analyses the quality of the environment. The device collects all relevant data on the colony (weight, temperature, humidity, sound intensity), which is then analysed using artificial intelligence to determine the health of the hive and its environment. The data from the device can be supplemented with sampling and laboratory analysis to determine the presence of pesticides or heavy metals. Thanks to Hive-Tech we monitor environmental parameters to analyse the biodiversity around us and the health of pollinators, with the aim of creating a network of sentinels across Europe

Collaboration with ESA - Sentinel Hive Tech
With the support of ESA (European Space Agency) we have developed an algorithm capable of analysing the type of soils present on company sites and production sites and within a radius of 5-10-15 km from them. This is a comparative analysis between the site of interest and a control area, which allows you to make a real comparison and understand the real positive or negative impact of your site on biodiversity.
Research Resources
IoT and Big Data for Biodiversity
At 3Bee, technology goes beyond field sensors: we collaborate every day with research organisations that give us access to important databases, such as the satellites of the European Space Agency (ESA). So technology is also satellite-based and we see it as a useful means of studying the health of biodiversity.
We use machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to analyse the data collected through technology, which we translate into a user-friendly dashboard tool with the aim of implementing scalable biodiversity regeneration actions.

Collaboration with Universities and Research Partners
3Bee actively collaborates with prestigious universities around the world. These academic partnerships are essential for advancing our research and development, allowing us to join forces with leading experts and researchers in the field of biodiversity and environmental conservation.

Biodiversity Credits
The Biodiversity Credits project, launched on January 1, 2024, is dedicated to the development of Biodiversity Credits using the XNatura Index protocol. By employing IoT sensors for hive monitoring, bioacoustic sensors for tracking pollinators, and satellite analysis for vegetation observation, the protocol processes biodiversity indices. These indices, resulting from the XNatura Index methodology, allow not only the monitoring of regeneration initiatives in collaboration with the network of beekeepers and growers of 3Bee but also the establishment of a new biodiversity certification system. Compliant with ISO standards and designed to be scalable, this system is intended for companies that directly impact the environment and aspire to strengthen their ESG reporting.
Funding Agency
Project funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) under delegated powers from the European Commission. (HORIZON-EIC-2023-ACCELERATOR-01)
