Apicoltura Di Primio

Lazio, IT

I am part of 3Bee's 'Oasis of Biodiversity' project. You can adopt one of my hives. This project allows me to regenerate biodiversity by caring for bees using innovative technologies developed by 3Bee. Here you can choose to adopt your hive from a distance and I will take care of it using the best techniques.

My history

The 'Apicoltura Di Primio' farm was established in Gioia dei Marsi in 2016 in the Abruzzo National Park with the aim of producing healthy honey that is uncontaminated by the products of intensive agriculture. For this reason, our bees are taken according to the flowering period to the areas of the 3 Abruzzo parks or to areas recognised as nature reserves, so that they can draw nectar in uncontaminated areas, both for the wellbeing of the bees and for the quality of the final product. The company is recognised as an organic company in 2019. Honey processing is traditional cold processing. After the bees have harvested the frames of the honeycomb, so as to guarantee the right moisture content of the honey, these are taken to the laboratory and the honey is extracted from the cold medium, then the honey is poured into the ripeners where it is allowed to decant for about 20 days before being potted directly from the ripeners into jars. This procedure avoids any manipulation of the honey so as not to alter its organoleptic qualities and makes it possible to offer a jar of honey that is as pure and natural as possible.
