Azienda Agricola Giaquinto
Campania, ITI am part of 3Bee's 'Oasis of Biodiversity' project. You can adopt one of my hives. This project allows me to regenerate biodiversity by caring for bees using innovative technologies developed by 3Bee. Here you can choose to adopt your hive from a distance and I will take care of it using the best techniques.
The Giaquinto farm derives from a family farming tradition handed down through several generations, and extends over an area of around 45 hectares cultivated mainly with chestnut trees, and a small part with hazelnut and olive trees. The beekeeping activity is based on about 100 hives that are managed nomadically between the provinces of Avellino and Salerno to follow the blossoming of : Cherry trees, in two locations between 150 and 200 metres above sea level, with flowering in late March - early April. Acacia, one location at 300 m as the crow flies from the sea at Salerno, at the beginning of the Amalfi coast, and a second one in a more inland area at 400 m above sea level, where we will also produce some excellent spring wildflowers and then the Chestnut. The latter is produced in two locations, the first at 400 m.a.s.l. and the second at 1100 m.a.s.l., managing to follow two blooms with the same hives. We then produce forest honeydew and finally castile (a mix of chestnut and lime). The company also produces propolis in hydro-alcoholic solution, dried and frozen pollen, royal jelly, honeycomb honey as well as other processed products.
