Mario Patroni
Lombardia, ITI am part of 3Bee's 'Oasis of Biodiversity' project. You can adopt one of my hives. This project allows me to regenerate biodiversity by caring for bees using innovative technologies developed by 3Bee. Here you can choose to adopt your hive from a distance and I will take care of it using the best techniques.
The farm "Mario Patroni" was founded in 1998 by taking over the family business. It is located in the municipality of Sernio (So) in the upper Valtellina, in an area that has always been dedicated to the breeding and cultivation of fine apples. Starting as a marginal activity, beekeeping has become increasingly important. Today we manage more than 100 beehives located in 4 apiaries at different altitudes in the woods of the area. The bees spend the winter on the Rhaetian side most exposed to the sun, where they produce acacia honey in spring. In summer they are then moved between the different apiaries for the production of wildflower mountain honey, linden honey or the prized wildflower high mountain honey produced in the "campasc" location at 1700m above sea level. Great attention is paid to the sustainable management of the activity with maximum respect for the bees and their rhythms, and their (and our) environment. The laboratory of honey extraction, for example, is powered by a photovoltaic system.
