Microbiology Researcher

Antonia Bruno is a Microbiology Researcher in the Department of Biotechnology and Biosciences at the University of Milano-Bicocca. After earning her Master’s Degree in Biology in 2012, she completed a PhD in Biology in 2016 with a thesis focused on the microbiota of drinking water using metagenomic analysis. Her research has since expanded to include areas such as food traceability through the study of food microbiomes and the interaction between built environment microbiomes and the human microbiome. Through her work, she is committed to understanding the complex dynamics of microbial communities and their impact on health and the environment, with the goal of developing innovative monitoring and prevention strategies.
