I am part of 3Bee's 'Oasis of Biodiversity' project. You can adopt one of my hives. This project allows me to regenerate biodiversity by caring for bees using innovative technologies developed by 3Bee. Here you can choose to adopt your hive from a distance and I will take care of it using the best techniques.

My history

The organic farm Alla Castagnola, run by Simona and her beloved life partner Axel, is located in Pallanza, on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Our apiaries are located at the foot of the special reserve of the Sacro Monte della Santissima Trinità di Ghiffa, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on the slopes of Mottarone, along the banks of the Toce River. Our honey is guaranteed organic in its origin and processing by the strict controls of the ICEA Piemonte organic certification body, which are carried out periodically. In order not to alter the organoleptic composition of the honey in any way, the combs are uncapped by hand and the honey is extracted cold. In order to always offer a product of excellence, my husband and I have attended sensory analysis courses and passed the final exam so that we can register in the national register of experts in sensory analysis. This allows us to better select the honey produced by our bees and also to participate as judges in various competitions for the selection of the best honeys at national level. This year I took part in the beekeeping course and obtained the relevant certification. Since we believe that bees are magical beings because they are able to transform nectar into honey, resin into propolis and produce royal jelly from pollen, as well as wax, we wanted to take inspiration from the magical world of Harry Potter to identify the apiary that will be monitored. This is how the Hogwart's apiary was born (at the foot of the special reserve of the Sacred Mount of the Holy Trinity in Ghiffa) with Gryffindor - Hufflepuff - Ravenclaw - Slytherin boxes. This year we will monitor the progress of the Gryffindor hive.

What do you adopt

Thanks to 3Bee technology, you can remotely adopt your chosen hives and monitor them 24 hours a day. By tracking the bees' main biological parameters - such as weight, temperature, humidity and sound intensity - you can follow their progress, growth and health status directly from your smartphone. The beekeeper will take care of your bees.

You will also receive your digital certificate via email. If the adoption is a gift, you can print it out and give it directly to the recipient.

What do you receive

If you choose to adopt hives and receive their honey, once your bees produce it, you will receive their honey directly to your home. All you have to do is select the favorite flowering, the amount of honey you want to receive, and wait for your bees to produce it.

We respect the bees' and beekeeper's production time, and you can check in your profile when the honey is scheduled to be delivered.

Meanwhile, from the app you can follow the work done by your bees.

What do you adopt

Together with the 3Bee agronomists we analyzed the best set of Plants to regenerate the soil, produce nectar and restore biodiversity to the area. Selected dozens of Italian Growers among Beekeepers and Farmers, provided them with the plants free of charge. We pay them every year for every plant they care for and grow.

Adopt a plant that helps sustainable beekeeping and farming communities, produce nectar for bees, absorb Co2 and offset your emissions.

What do you receive

If you choose to adopt trees and produce biodiversity, you will receive a digital certificate with all the impact data generated by your tree: the Name of the Tree, the Absorbed Co2, the Nectar produced.

In addition, the link to your digital Oasis where you will see the tree grow and you can monitor it and share it with your friends.

Our growers take photos and videos to the tree and the regenerated soil, so that you can get feedback on the positive impact you have created.

How to adopt your tree

  • 1. Filter by rare trees
  • 2. Choose the region and the type of tree
  • 3. Continue by choosing the tree and join the oasis
