3Bee Technological Hive Adoptions

I am part of 3Bee's 'Oasis of Biodiversity' project. You can adopt one of my hives. This project allows me to regenerate biodiversity by caring for bees using innovative technologies developed by 3Bee. Here you can choose to adopt your hive from a distance and I will take care of it using the best techniques.

My history

The love and passion for bees and beekeeping, was born many years ago, with my father, who in the early 80's owned about sixty hives, in all these years we have gone through ups and downs, but nothing has prevented us from turning a hobby into a profession. The Azienda Apistica Sciutto Andrea, Apicoltura "La Volpina" was officially born in 2016, after the loss of Dad, I gradually abandoned my main activity to turn into reality a project thought up with him the year before he fell ill in 2013. I managed to rebuild an apiary from a few hives, in a quiet and clean valley, just as I had thought with him. He was not a chatterbox, but during his visits to the hives he would say to me: "Listen, watch and learn" ....... and I must say that I have learned a lot from the bees. Now I can count about seventy hives distributed in different permanent apiaries, each consisting of 24 hives, two of which are in the Volpina valley, in the Ovadese area (an area of Lower Piedmont and Upper Monferrato, in the southernmost part of the province of Alessandria, bordering on Liguria to the south, specifically Rossiglione). This area produces acacia, chestnut and linden, honeydew, cherry and dandelion honey. Production is very dependent on climatic factors, as the area is close to the Ligurian Apennines (very windy and rainy). Abandoning my old activity I have sacrificed a lot, but I believe in what I do, the passion for the environment and love for bees pushes me to improve my way of conducting apiaries and produce quality honey...... ......................................................Love in every drop.....................................................................

What do you adopt

Thanks to 3Bee technology, you can remotely adopt your chosen hives and monitor them 24 hours a day. By tracking the bees' main biological parameters - such as weight, temperature, humidity and sound intensity - you can follow their progress, growth and health status directly from your smartphone. The beekeeper will take care of your bees.

You will also receive your digital certificate via email. If the adoption is a gift, you can print it out and give it directly to the recipient.

What do you receive

If you choose to adopt hives and receive their honey, once your bees produce it, you will receive their honey directly to your home. All you have to do is select the favorite flowering, the amount of honey you want to receive, and wait for your bees to produce it.

We respect the bees' and beekeeper's production time, and you can check in your profile when the honey is scheduled to be delivered.

Meanwhile, from the app you can follow the work done by your bees.

What do you adopt

Together with the 3Bee agronomists we analyzed the best set of Plants to regenerate the soil, produce nectar and restore biodiversity to the area. Selected dozens of Italian Growers among Beekeepers and Farmers, provided them with the plants free of charge. We pay them every year for every plant they care for and grow.

Adopt a plant that helps sustainable beekeeping and farming communities, produce nectar for bees, absorb Co2 and offset your emissions.

What do you receive

If you choose to adopt trees and produce biodiversity, you will receive a digital certificate with all the impact data generated by your tree: the Name of the Tree, the Absorbed Co2, the Nectar produced.

In addition, the link to your digital Oasis where you will see the tree grow and you can monitor it and share it with your friends.

Our growers take photos and videos of the tree and the regenerated soil, so that you can get feedback on the positive impact you have created.
