Lombardia, ITI am part of 3Bee's 'Oasis of Biodiversity' project. You can adopt one of my hives. This project allows me to regenerate biodiversity by caring for bees using innovative technologies developed by 3Bee. Here you can choose to adopt your hive from a distance and I will take care of it using the best techniques.
Utopia become reality "I was looking for the perfect society and I found it in bees". It all began on a grey day at the end of winter 2011, when I exchanged ideas with Fabio, a dear friend and colleague of mine at the time, on what could be invented to escape from "those 4 walls". So it was that in the spring of that year I decided to break the mould and look for a beekeeper in the hope that he could teach me the basics, and that's how I found Valerio, who passed on his passion. The following year, still followed by Valerio, I bought my first families of bees and the necessary equipment to start this wonderful adventure. In the following years, through ups and downs, I gradually increased my knowledge and the number of hives until the end of November 2016, when I decided to abandon the permanent position to devote myself exclusively to beekeeping. In 2017 the company "BarbaGillo Apicoltura" was born thanks to the support of my wife Silvia and my family who have always encouraged me. In 2019, another step was added: the company went from conventional to organic for a more sustainable management of breeding and to ensure a higher quality of our products. I currently run 100 hives, practising nomadism in the Bergamo plain and then moving up the Brembana Valley to the Orobian Pre-Alps. Depending on the season, I produce honeys of wildflower, lime, chestnut, acacia, rhododendron and ........
Together with the 3Bee agronomists we analyzed the best set of Plants to regenerate the soil, produce nectar and restore biodiversity to the area. Selected dozens of Italian Growers among Beekeepers and Farmers, provided them with the plants free of charge. We pay them every year for every plant they care for and grow. Adopt a plant that helps sustainable beekeeping and farming communities, produce nectar for bees and absorb Co2.
If you choose to adopt trees and produce biodiversity, you will receive a digital certificate with all the impact data generated by your tree: the Name of the Tree, the Absorbed Co2, the Nectar produced. In addition, the link to your digital Oasis where you will see the tree grow and you can monitor it and share it with your friends. Our growers take photos and videos of the tree and the regenerated soil, so that you can get feedback on the positive impact you have created.
