Il Nettare di Nonna Wanda
Liguria, ITI am part of 3Bee's 'Oasis of Biodiversity' project. You can adopt one of my hives. This project allows me to regenerate biodiversity by caring for bees using innovative technologies developed by 3Bee. Here you can choose to adopt your hive from a distance and I will take care of it using the best techniques.
Description. Company My name is Simoncini Francesco and I will tell you a brief history of our beekeeping business. I have been a sportsman since birth, perhaps even too much so, and one fine day, during a mountain bike ride in our hills with a friend, as good consumers of honey and beehive products, driven by curiosity about the world of bees, we decided to enrol on a course in Beekeeping. It was in 2014 when I found myself in a classroom listening to a beekeeping technician describe with ease (only his) the mechanisms and the countless notions to be known about the world of bees. I remember that I couldn't grasp one concept and he immediately explained another. Today, with the help of the whole family and driven by a passion for this fascinating, curious and indispensable world, I find myself managing this beekeeping business called "Il Nettare di Nonna Wanda" (in honour of my ninety-year-old grandmother, who still manages the vegetable garden and hens). Well, as I was saying, today we manage a limited number of hives, but still challenging, especially for beekeepers with less than a few decades of experience. The apiary Mother is located in Liguria, in the hills in a small town in the province of La Spezia at 300m above sea level called Calice al Cornoviglio. Our beekeeping, thanks to the beautiful flora of this area is mostly sedentary. Here we are able to make excellent monofloral honeys, such as Heather, Acacia, Chestnut, Wildflower and Honeydew honey.
